The Array of Things (AoT) is an urban sensing project, a network of interactive, modular sensor boxes that will be installed around Chicago to collect real-time data on the city's environment, infrastructure, and activity for research and public use. AoT will essentially serve as a "fitness tracker" for the city, measuring factors that impact livability in Chicago such as climate, air quality and noise.

- The Goal of the Array of Things
- When and where the sensor nodes will be installed
- What data is collected, and what can be done with that data, and what data will be available to the public

About our Presenter Kate Kusiak Galvin
Kate Kusiak Galvin works closely with the Director of UrbanCCD, Charlie Catlett, as well as faculty, scientists, and administrative leaders to strategically develop and cooridnate the strategic objectives and programs of the Center. Prior to joining UrbanCCD in 2013, Kusiak Galvin worked as an Assistant Director for Arete, a reseach accelerator at the Unviersity of Chicago, and was tasked with assisting researchers organizing large-scale interdisciplinary research programs across UChicago. Kusiak Galvin has an MBA from DePaul University with a concentration in Integrated Marketing Communications and Entrepreneurship. She received her BA in Public Relations with a minor in marketing from Marquette University.
